Under general supervision, assists in developing, implementing, communicating, and administering the Company’s benefit programs worldwide.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Partners with Sr Manager in developing, implementing, and administering the Company’s benefit plans
- Assists with international benefits administration and implementations. Coordinate government-mandated benefit plans with discretionary offerings appropriate to the local employee base. Supports global benefits initiatives wherever possible
- Assist with implementing new changes to benefit programs by coordinating with HRIS, payroll, and other departments as required.
- Responsible for developing communication, presentation, and training materials for all benefit programs
- Assists with project management of annual open enrollment process
- Responsible for day-to-day administration and required reporting for qualified defined contribution (401k) plan.
- Oversees COBRA administration, ERISA, etc.
- Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, organizational policies, and local (by country) benefit laws.
- Assists with developing effective wellness and healthy lifestyle programs that target the improvement of employee health outcomes. Responsible for the flu shot and other related programs.
- Communications with internal and external legal counsel, company management, third-party administrators, medical facilities, and insurance carriers.
- Responsible for ongoing audit and data maintenance across HRIS and benefits systems
- Responsible for maintaining employee facing information on company intranet
- Handles all tier 1 benefits inbox inquiries in a timely manner
- Submits all billing invoices within the company’s net 45 payment terms requirement
- Continuous documentation of standard operating procedures
- Assist with company culture initiatives
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Workday experience highly valued
- Requires high level of critical thinking problem solving
- Solid knowledge of state and federal compensation and employee benefit plan regulations.
- Solid knowledge of relevant state and federal leave of absence laws, including PDL, FMLA, CFRA, MLOA, and all laws' interaction.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex benefit contracts, policies, and other plan documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively with carriers, brokers, vendors, and other benefits service providers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to successfully negotiate and communicate alternatives and solutions.
- Demonstrated skills using report writer tools to extract data from Workday
- Demonstrated ability to work in an organized and efficient manner to complete tasks on time accurately.
- Highly developed detail orientation, initiative, problem-solving, and relationship-building qualities.
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level including pivot tables and vlookups
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university, preferably majoring in human resources management, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years related combined education, training, and experience in employee benefits administration.
- Minimum of 5 years domestic, administration, and compliance experience.
- Minimum of 3 years wellness, disability, leave of absence, and workers’ compensation experience.
- CEBS/CBP/PHR certification preferred.
- Certification or advanced training in the compensation, benefits, and HRIS areas preferred.
- Certification or advanced training in employee benefits or LOA administration is preferred.

- Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
- Extensive use of office equipment, including computer, and other business-related machines and software.
