We are seeking a Workday Analyst to join our team in Houston. This is a unique Contract-to-Hire opportunity for a professional who enjoys the intersection of People and Finance data. You will play a critical role in optimizing our Workday environment, ensuring our HCM configurations are seamless and our financial reporting is airtight.
Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will bridge the gap between HR and Finance by serving as the technical subject matter expert for Workday.
- System Configuration: Lead the design, configuration, and testing of Workday HCM modules (Core HR, Benefits, Compensation) and Financial touchpoints.
- Reporting & Analytics: Build, maintain, and optimize complex Matrix, Composite, and Advanced reports to support financial auditing and workforce planning.
- Business Process Optimization: Partner with stakeholders to refine Business Processes (BPs) that improve data integrity and operational efficiency.
- Integration Support: Monitor and troubleshoot EIBs and basic integrations between HCM and Finance modules to ensure data synchronization.
- Compliance & Audit: Assist in periodic system audits and SOX compliance reporting to ensure financial data accuracy.
- Functional Support: Serve as the "go-to" for end-user troubleshooting, providing high-touch support to our Houston-based leadership team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience.
- Technical Breadth: Strong proficiency in Workday HCM.
- Report Writer Guru: Expert-level skills in Workday Report Writer and Calculated Fields.
- Problem Solver: A proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical system solutions.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical HR and Finance partners.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in a Contract-to-Hire or consultative environment.
- Local to Houston or willing to relocate immediately.
