Overview
Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounts Payable Processor and become a vital part of ensuring our company's financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Process and verify accounts payable transactions using various accounting software such as Workday, Melio, Paychex, QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, Ramp, Sofi, and UltiPro.
- Ensure timely payment of invoices while maintaining compliance with internal controls and external regulations including SOX requirements.
- Reconcile vendor statements and perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of payable balances.
- Prepare journal entries related to accounts payable activities and assist with general ledger accounting processes.
- Support the review of expense reports and benefits administration documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures by preparing reports related to accounts payable and other financial concepts.
- Collaborate with the human resources team on payroll management, benefits processing, and related data entry tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, ensuring adherence to audit standards and internal policies.
- Support analysis of financial data for reporting purposes and contribute to process improvements in accounts payable workflows.
Experience
- Proven experience working with accounting software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance standards and experience in corporate or governmental accounting environments preferred.
- Knowledge of payroll management systems like ADP or Kronos is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to perform data entry accurately at a high volume (10 key typing skills).
- Experience with account reconciliation, journal entries, and analysis skills within a finance or accounting setting.
- Background in public accounting or non-profit accounting is a plus but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
