Our client is a globally recognized sports and entertainment organization headquartered in Chicago. They are focused on enhancing and optimizing their Workday ecosystem to better support HR operations, reporting, integrations, and enterprise decision-making. This is a long-term consultant role with a hybrid (3 days onsite preferred) schedule based in Chicago.
We are seeking a Workday-focused HRIS Consultant who thrives in environments where systems, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration intersect. This role will play a critical part in optimizing the organization’s Workday HCM landscape by improving reporting, streamlining workflows, business process documentation, enhancing integrations, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to improve how Workday supports day-to-day operations.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and business leadership to evaluate current Workday processes, reporting, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and standardization.
- Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders across departments to understand business challenges, current processes, and system usage, translating findings into scalable Workday solutions.
- Design, configure, and optimize Workday business processes and workflows across core HCM modules to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
- Evaluate and enhance Workday reporting, dashboards, and calculated fields, improving data visibility, accuracy, and insights for business leaders.
- Build and maintain integrations using Workday EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder) and Core Connectors, ensuring reliable data flow between Workday and downstream systems.
- Support and troubleshoot inbound and outbound integrations, optimizing data exchanges and maintaining system reliability.
- Drive Workday standardization and system optimization across a complex, multi-department environment while identifying opportunities to automate manual processes.
- Serve as a change driver and Workday advocate, helping teams adopt improved processes and maximize system capabilities.
- Provide day-to-day HRIS operational support while prioritizing initiatives focused on continuous improvement and platform optimization.
- Document business processes, system configurations, and reporting standards to support long-term governance and scalability.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience supporting or administering Workday HCM in an HRIS, HR Technology, or Systems Analyst role.
- Hands-on experience working within Workday modules such as Core HCM, Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
- Experience configuring and optimizing Workday business process frameworks (BPF) and workflows.
- Experience building and supporting Workday integrations, including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) and Core Connectors (e.g., Core Connector Worker, Benefits, Payroll).
- Strong experience developing Workday reporting, including Advanced, Matrix, or Composite reports and calculated fields.
- Experience working in complex Workday environments and helping standardize processes across multiple departments or business units.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to gather requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and drive system enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred.
