Workday Financials Integration Specialist
We are seeking a
senior-level Workday Financials Integration Specialist who lives and breathes Workday integrations — someone who has spent years deep in Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors, and who can architect, build, and own complex financial data flows from day one.
This is not a generalist role. We need a specialist who brings proven, hands-on Workday Financials integration experience and can operate independently in a fast-paced environment where financial data accuracy and system uptime are non-negotiable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Integration Architecture & Ownership
- Architect and deliver end-to-end integrations using Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builders (EIB), and Core/Cloud Connectors — with a specific focus on Financials modules (FDM, Accounts Payable, General Ledger)
- Design and maintain complex XSLT transformations and Calculated Fields to meet precise vendor and business file format requirements
- Own API-based integrations using Workday Web Services (WWS), REST, and SOAP protocols
Financial Process Automation
- Partner directly with Finance to identify and automate manual data processes — including journal vouchers, bank statement imports, and supplier invoice feeds
- Translate accounting team requirements into precise, production-ready technical specifications with minimal handholding
Integration Reliability & Performance
- Monitor integration events daily; proactively detect, diagnose, and resolve failures before they impact financial operations
- Continuously optimize existing integrations for performance, data integrity, and maintainability
- Own release impact assessments for bi-annual Workday updates, ensuring zero disruption to critical financial feeds
Compliance, Security & Documentation
- Audit integration security configurations to enforce least-privilege access across all financial data transmissions
- Ensure all integrations meet audit and compliance requirements
- Maintain thorough documentation including data mapping, technical specs, and runbooks for the full integration portfolio
Stakeholder Collaboration & Testing
- Bridge the gap between Finance, IT, and external vendors — translating business needs into technical solutions with speed and accuracy
- Lead rigorous unit testing and drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all new and modified integrations
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5–7+ years of hands-on Workday integration development experience — this is the hard floor, not a preference
- Deep, demonstrated expertise in Workday Financials: FDM, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and related modules
- Advanced proficiency in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and XSLT
- Solid working knowledge of Workday Web Services (WWS), REST, and SOAP APIs
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and own issues through to resolution
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred — or equivalent professional experience

This is a role where your Workday Financials specialty is the job — not a line item. If you want meaningful ownership over critical financial technology infrastructure with direct impact on how the business moves data, closes books, and scales operations, we want to hear from you
