We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Owner Operator Recruiter to lead our efforts in sourcing, attracting, and onboarding independent owner operators within the transportation industry. Duties
- Develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies to attract owner operators through various channels including social media, job boards, industry events, and cold calling campaigns
- Conduct comprehensive interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate qualifications, experience, and compatibility with company standards
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process utilizing ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) like Lever or iCIMS to streamline candidate tracking and communication
- Negotiate contract terms and employment agreements with prospective owner operators, ensuring compliance with employment & labor laws
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential candidates through ongoing engagement, research, and relationship management techniques
- Coordinate onboarding processes including employee orientation, training & development sessions, and contract signing
- Collaborate with internal teams on talent management initiatives such as succession planning and employee relations to support long-term growth
Skills
- Exceptional negotiation skills combined with technical recruiting expertise to secure top talent efficiently
- Strong knowledge of HR sourcing tools such as Workday, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Taleo, PeopleSoft, HRIS systems, Salesforce and other applicant tracking systems
- Proven experience in executive recruiting, campus recruitment, and cold calling to generate leads and expand talent pools
- Excellent communication skills for conducting interviews, presenting offers, and maintaining candidate relationships
- Deep understanding of employment & labor law to ensure compliant hiring practices
- Ability to research market trends and leverage social media management platforms for talent acquisition campaigns
- Skilled in employee evaluation processes, contracts management, employee orientation programs, and HRIS systems for data accuracy
- Adept at training & development initiatives as well as succession planning strategies to foster internal growth opportunities
