Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Manage the complete payroll cycle, including data entry, processing, and reconciliation using software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, benefits, taxes, deductions, and other payroll-related items in compliance with applicable laws.
- Maintain and update payroll records within HRIS systems and accounting software like QuickBooks or PeopleSoft.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts related to payroll, benefits administration, and tax obligations regularly.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure proper benefits administration and compliance with non-profit or governmental accounting standards when applicable.
- Prepare detailed reports on payroll activities, tax filings, and audit documentation for internal review or external audits.
- Stay current on payroll regulations, tax laws, and industry best practices to implement necessary updates proactively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing payroll processes with familiarity in systems such as Workday, Kronos, Ceridian, or ADP.
- Strong understanding of payroll management principles combined with knowledge of accounting concepts like double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks and other financial management tools.
- Experience with data entry accuracy, account reconciliation, and analysis skills essential for precise payroll processing.
- Knowledge of benefits administration procedures and tax compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with human resources information systems (HRIS) like UltiPro or PeopleSoft is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
