We are assisting one of our clients with their search for a Finance Transformation Manager. The Finance Transformation Manager will play a key role in modernizing and scaling the Finance and Accounting organization. This individual will partner closely with stakeholders across Finance and Technology to redesign processes, evaluate financial systems, and help build a more automated, data-driven operating model.
- Location: Dallas, TX or New York, NY – primarily onsite
- Compensation: $140,000-$180,000 plus bonus
Responsibilities
- Lead finance transformation initiatives focused on improving efficiency, scalability, and process automation across Accounting and Finance functions
- Partner with Finance leaders to assess current workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop future-state operating models
- Serve as a liaison between Finance and Technology teams, translating business objectives into clear functional requirements
- Drive process redesign efforts across areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, revenue recognition, invoicing, and month-end close
- Develop transformation roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and coordinate stakeholder engagement throughout project lifecycles
- Create and maintain process documentation, workflow maps, and internal control frameworks
- Support evaluation and selection of finance technology solutions, including ERP and automation platforms
- Establish reporting and data governance standards to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and decision-making capabilities
- Analyze reporting discrepancies and collaborate with technical teams to implement sustainable solutions
- Help define the future organizational structure, capabilities, and technology requirements of the Finance function
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- CPA, MBA, or Master’s degree preferred
- 6+ years of progressive experience in finance transformation, finance advisory, or accounting process improvement initiatives
- 3-5+ years of experience with a Big 4 accounting firm or leading management consulting organization required
- Demonstrated success leading finance operating model assessments, process redesign, and transformation programs
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting processes, and core accounting operations
- Experience evaluating financial technologies such as NetSuite, Workday, Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams
- Strong communication and presentation skills with experience engaging senior leadership
- Prior experience within a high-growth, healthcare, or technology-driven environment is a plus
