Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Craft Recruiter to join our talent acquisition team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, engaging, and securing top-tier craft professionals across various trades and skilled labor sectors. Your expertise will drive the recruitment process from initial outreach through onboarding, ensuring we attract candidates who align with our high standards for quality and craftsmanship. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to identify skilled craft professionals through various channels including social media, job boards, industry networks, and cold calling.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting processes, including screening resumes, conducting interviews, negotiating offers, and coordinating employment contracts.
- Build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners to ensure a seamless recruitment experience.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Lever or iCIMS to track candidate progress and maintain accurate records throughout the hiring process.
- Conduct thorough interviews assessing technical skills, work experience, and cultural fit while ensuring compliance with employment laws and labor regulations.
- Collaborate on talent management initiatives like succession planning, employee orientation, and training & development programs.
- Stay informed on industry trends and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
Skills
- Proven experience in technical recruiting within trades or skilled labor sectors with a focus on craft professions.
- Strong negotiation skills to facilitate competitive offers that attract top talent while aligning with company policies.
- Expertise in HR sourcing tools such as Workday, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Taleo, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage candidates via social media management and relationship management techniques.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law to ensure compliance during all stages of recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) like Lever, iCIMS, or Salesforce for efficient candidate management.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive interviewing sessions focusing on technical competencies and soft skills relevant to craft roles.
- Experience in campus recruitment and executive recruiting is a plus for building diverse talent pools.
- Strong research skills to identify passive candidates through social media platforms and industry networks.
- Understanding of HRIS systems such as ADP or PeopleSoft for employee data management and reporting purposes.
