Workday HRIS Manager / Senior Manager
Houston, TX (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
Adalta Global are working with a Fortune 500 organization that are seeking a Workday HRIS Manager / Senior Manager to lead the ongoing evolution of its Workday platform. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the full Workday HCM suite, driving new module implementations, and leading a high-performing HRIS team.
This position requires a hands-on technical leader who can operate at both a strategic and execution level, someone who can guide the roadmap while still being close to configuration, design, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the Workday HCM ecosystem, including Core HCM and additional modules (e.g., Talent, Recruiting, Absence, Compensation, etc.)
- Manage and develop a team of HRIS analysts, setting priorities, mentoring team members, and ensuring delivery quality
- Act as the functional and technical SME for Workday, supporting configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Lead the implementation of new Workday modules and enhancements, from planning through go-live and post-production support
- Partner closely with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable Workday solutions
- Drive continuous improvement across HR systems, workflows, and reporting capabilities
- Oversee security, integrations, reporting, and data integrity across the platform
- Manage vendor relationships and external partners where required
- Establish and maintain governance, documentation, and best practices across the HRIS function
Requirements:
- 10+ years of HRIS experience, with at least 5 years focused on Workday
- Proven experience managing or leading Workday-focused teams
- Strong hands-on experience across Workday configuration and business process design
- Demonstrated experience leading Workday implementations and/or major enhancements
- Deep understanding of Workday HCM modules (additional exposure to Payroll, Integrations, Security, or Reporting is a plus)
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels of the business
