Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented and proactive Financial Analyst to join our Finance department. This role is ideal for an individual with 3-5 years of experience who is interested in a career in financial services. Professional working proficiency in both Spanish and English is a mandatory requirement for this role to effectively serve our diverse stakeholders.
Areas of responsibilities include:
Reporting
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal stakeholders to drive operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making.
- Communicate financial insights and findings clearly and effectively in both Spanish and English.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and support various finance projects as needed.
General Accounting and Month-End Process
- Perform in-depth analysis of each P&L line, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statement to ensure accurate financial structure and reporting
- Conduct thorough review and analysis of daily/weekly financial reports and monthly accounting reconciliations
- Coordinate back-end activities for month-end closing, ensuring all accounting procedures are updated and financial data is accurate for the reporting period
- Execute monthly financial reporting to the headquarters in Madrid
- Proactively monitor and perform deep budget analysis (actuals vs budget) to report on performance deviations
- Participate in the yearly budgeting process providing analytical input following
Procurement and Internal Governance
- Lead analysis and improvement initiatives for core finance processes and workflows.
- Support the procurement process end to end by analyzing company needs, vendor proposals and collaborating with the team to formalize contracts
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a financial analysis or accounting role, with demonstrated experience in process definition, improvement, and internal data analysis.
- Understanding of procurement processes and basic knowledge of Third Party Risk Management (TPRM).
- Complete professional fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial functions).
- The "Lean" Mindset: Ability to work autonomously in a 3-person team, taking full "end-to-end" ownership of projects.
Preferred experience
- Experience working in a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), Broker dealer or other financial services firm, so Series 65 is highly valued but not required
- Familiarity with financial and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Workday, Concur, Bill.com, Sage Intacct, Aravo).
