Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Workday HCM Functional Consultant with strong expertise in
Time Tracking and additional experience supporting
Payroll, Benefits, and Expense modules in a post-implementation environment.
This consultant will assist with
system stabilization, configuration optimization, troubleshooting, and user support following a recent Workday deployment. The role will partner closely with HR, Payroll, and Finance teams to ensure the
Workday HCM ecosystem operates efficiently across timekeeping, payroll processing, benefits administration, and expense management workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Post-Implementation Support
- Provide functional support for Workday HCM with emphasis on Time Tracking
- Troubleshoot configuration issues, system errors, and user-reported problems
- Support stabilization and optimization following a recent Workday implementation
Configuration & Optimization
- Maintain and optimize configuration across the following modules:
- Time Tracking
- Payroll
- Benefits Administration
- Expense Management
- Configure time entry templates, work schedules, and time calculation rules
- Review and optimize system configurations to align with company policies and compliance requirements
Payroll & Time Integration
- Support integration between Time Tracking and Payroll
- Validate time calculations, approvals, and payroll data transfers
- Troubleshoot payroll-related timekeeping issues
Benefits & Expense Module Support
- Assist with benefits configuration, eligibility rules, and enrollment processes
- Support expense reporting workflows and reimbursement processes
- Troubleshoot employee issues related to benefits and expense submissions
Business Processes & Security
- Maintain Workday business process frameworks for time approvals, payroll processing, benefits events, and expense workflows
- Support role-based security related to HR, payroll, and timekeeping access
Reporting & Data Validation
- Create and maintain Workday reports related to time tracking, payroll data, benefits activity, and expense reporting
- Validate data accuracy across modules
- Assist with audit and compliance reporting
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of Workday HCM functional experience
- Strong expertise in Workday Time Tracking
- Hands-on experience supporting Workday Payroll, Benefits, and Expense modules
- Experience supporting post-implementation stabilization or optimization
- Experience working with large enterprise environments (5,000+ employees preferred)
- Experience supporting complex time calculation rules, payroll integrations, and benefits administration workflows
- Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting large-scale Workday deployments
- Background working with Workday implementation partners or consulting firms
- Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) workforce management systems is a plus
- Experience with Rippling HRIS / payroll platforms is a plus
