Workday LMS Administrator
100% REMOTE ROLE- Need People in Atlanta, GA or Overland Park, KS
Long term contract (12+ months) – potential to go permanent.
- On the Workday team but need someone who can solely support learning and development group.
- Real expertise with Workday Learning Management System (Workday LMS), MUST HAVE
- Really strong technical aptitude with this, not just functional support in LMS
- Technical configuration, catalog, course work, manage between Outlook & Teams. If someone is registering for a course it automatically triggers calendar invite and teams room invite.
- WD LMS Campaigns: If new hire comes in, there are campaigns for specific roles given at specific times to certain positions and they will manage this as well.
Job Summary
The Workday Learning Administrator is responsible for the day‑to‑day administration, configuration, and support of the Workday Learning module. This role ensures an effective, scalable learning environment that supports compliance, employee development, and organizational learning initiatives. The administrator partners closely with the Learning & Development (HR) and Workday IT teams to maintain data integrity, optimize processes, and enhance the end‑user learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration & Configuration
- Configure and maintain Workday Learning, including learning campaigns, courses, programs, enrollments, and certifications.
- Manage security roles, domain access, and business process frameworks related to Learning.
- Maintain learning catalogs, delivery types (e.g., e-learning, instructor-led, blended), and metadata standards.
Operational Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday Learning issues, enhancements, and questions.
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and partner with Workday AMS or internal IT teams as needed.
- Support learning-related integrations and data loads (EIBs, reports, inbound/outbound files).
Reporting & Data Quality
- Build and maintain standard and custom Workday reports and dashboards related to training, completion, and compliance.
- Monitor and ensure accuracy of learning data, completion records, and audit requirements.
- Support regulatory and internal audits by providing learning documentation and reports.
Process Improvement & Enhancements
- Partner with HR, Learning & Development, and Compliance to gather requirements and recommend system improvements.
- Participate in Workday releases by reviewing new functionality, performing testing, and supporting adoption.
- Document learning processes, configuration standards, and administrative procedures.
User Experience & Enablement
- Support and train learning administrators, instructors, and business partners on Workday Learning functionality.
- Create job aids and maintain internal documentation to enable self-service where appropriate.
- Ensure a positive end-user experience for learners and managers.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Workday, with strong direct experience in Workday Learning.
- Strong understanding of Workday business processes, security, and reporting, specifically within the Workday Learning functional area
- Proficient knowledge of HR processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Learning Certification.
- Familiarity within integrations and/or Learning content vendors (Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, etc)
- Experience working with AMS partners and managing system enhancements.
