About The Role
Our client, a well-established organization in the construction and project delivery industry, is seeking a Workday Analyst (HCM) to support and enhance its Human Capital Management systems. This role is responsible for the implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimization of Workday, ensuring alignment with business needs and HR processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement in HR systems and data management.
Job Description
The Workday Analyst will act as the subject matter expert for Workday HCM, supporting system functionality, troubleshooting issues, and driving process improvements across HR operations. This position partners closely with HR and business stakeholders to design, configure, and maintain system solutions while ensuring data integrity and system efficiency.
- Serve as the primary Workday expert, providing functional and technical support across HR modules
- Troubleshoot system issues, resolve errors, and manage day-to-day system operations
- Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and security within Workday
- Support Workday releases, including impact analysis, testing, and implementation of updates
- Lead testing and deployment of new system functionality
- Document system configurations, changes, and processes
- Develop user guides, job aids, and training materials; provide end-user support
- Partner with stakeholders to configure business processes and workflows
- Identify and implement system enhancements and process improvements
- Manage and support Workday integrations with internal systems and external vendors
- Monitor integration performance and resolve issues in coordination with technical teams
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts
- Provide data analysis and insights to support business decisions
- Perform data audits, mass updates, and ensure compliance with data standards
- Support change management efforts and user adoption of new features and processes
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of hands-on Workday experience in one or more modules (HCM, Talent, Learning, Recruiting, Absence, Compensation, or Benefits)
- Strong understanding of Workday architecture, security model, and business process framework
- Experience gathering requirements and translating them into system solutions
- Foundational knowledge of HR processes, data management, and business cycles
- Experience supporting system enhancements, upgrades, or cross-functional initiatives
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, and analyzing HR data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and time management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a collaborative HR or HRIS team environment
- Experience optimizing HR systems and implementing best practices
- Familiarity with Workday integrations and vendor/system coordination
- Exposure to change management initiatives and user training
- Knowledge of HR technology trends and Workday roadmap updates
