JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Training and Talent leads our training, recruitment, and employee engagement teams. This role is responsible for developing and implementing soft-skills training, recruitment strategies, employee experience, and helping executives shape and model our culture. Reporting to the Senior Director of Quality, the Director will drive the execution of people services. As one of the country’s largest employee-owned healthcare organizations, the Director will lead employee experience initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership. In this new role, the Director will be an experienced and personable organizational developmental leader with a proven track record of building trust, and driving new initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
JOB DUTIES
- Cross-Functional Partnership – Partner with department leaders to deliver soft-skills training programs that develop leaders and prepare the business for growth and scale.
- Brand and deliver an employee experience engagement strategy to support the business’s employee ownership program.
- Team Leadership - Lead the talent and training teams, and report on recruiting and learning metrics and outcomes.
- Talent Management - Strong knowledge of employment laws, recruitment strategies, and workforce planning.
- Lead the Network’s Employee Experience Committee – Provide recommended improvements based on employee feedback and implement projects that improve the employee experience.
- Onboarding - Design and implement onboarding programs that complement hard-skills training, with orientation and experiential curricula that fit all roles and career paths.
- Management and Supervisor Training– Own the creation and delivery of soft skills training for new and experienced managers and supervisors.
- Learning Technology & Content Development - Oversee learning management systems, develop multi-modal learning experiences (virtual, in-person, microlearning), and deliver engaging educational content, including assessments and interactive modules.
- Support hard skills training initiatives led by departmental leaders.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
- An excellent communicator and partner with the ability to influence leadership and drive actions across multiple teams, gaining support for and executing HR initiatives
- 5+ years of experience in recruitment, learning, and development
- Knowledge of the home care industry with its regulatory and operational complexities is important to success
- Focus on transparency and building trust
- Ability to coach leaders and resolve complex issues
- Software - Workday and Avature, or similar ATS, a plus
- Travel up to 10% in the US, including overnight travel

- Employees must provide their own reliable internet if working a remote/hybrid position
The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone, and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
