Job Title: Business System Analyst 3/Workday Payroll Analyst
Duration of Assignment: 9+ Months
Location : Remote/Hybrid at Oakland, CA 94607
Pay rate: $55/hr - $59/hr
Workday Time: 8am -5pm
- Travel Required : If so please elaborate. YES - Oakland office for project meetings and team engagement as needed.
- California-based remote role but may be required to report to the Oakland office for project needs 1 or 2 times per month in Q4 for Workday implementation.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Subject matter expert for end-to-end payroll operations.
- Responsibility will include partnering closely with Payroll leadership, P&E Technology, Payroll Business Analyst and cross-functional teams to partner in testing configuration in new Workday Payroll and Time entry system.
- Knowledge of payroll principles, tax regulations, compliance standards, and system configuration. This role will help support the payroll team as needed with audit, reporting and other projects as needed.
Required Skills (top 3 non-negotiables):
- Payroll Business Analyst – 2 years
- Payroll Specialist/equivalent – 5 Years (current)
- Workday Payroll processing – 2 years
Preferred Skills (nice to have)
1. UKG transition to Workday configuration and testing
2. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
3. Proficient in Excel and Business Intelligent Reporting
