Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Invoice Processor to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial standards such as GAAP and SOX. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and financial concepts, with a focus on maintaining precise records and supporting the company's financial operations. Responsibilities
- Process and verify incoming invoices using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Workday.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger.
- Prepare journal entries related to accounts payable and receivable activities.
- Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice approval workflows and payment processing via systems like ADP, Paychex, or Ceridian.
- Maintain accurate data entry for financial transactions with high attention to detail, including 10-key typing tasks.
- Conduct analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve issues promptly.
- Support benefits administration and payroll management processes as needed.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and ensure compliance with internal controls such as SOX.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to support governmental accounting, non-profit accounting, or other specialized financial functions as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles, preferably within public accounting or corporate finance environments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, Kronos, Sage, or similar systems like Workday or ADP.
- Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, account reconciliation, journal entries, and analysis skills.
- Experience with payroll management systems like Ceridian or Paychex is a plus.
- Ability to perform detailed data entry accurately and efficiently using 10-key typing skills.
- Knowledge of tax experience, governmental accounting standards, or non-profit accounting is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization through diligent processing of invoices and related activities.
Pay: $24.08 - $29.01 per hour
